As Venus moves into her evening phase, a softer splendor is cast — felt not as escape from intensity, but as a gentler way of meeting it. If you have been pulled this way and that, strung along by competing currents, you may now find yourself retreating — even quizzically so — as an entirely different energy begins to call.
A Lull May Be Taken.
It might be that you are no longer willing to white-knuckle every turn, and even if only briefly, you unfurl your arms — or lay down your arms — and look around. Then comes the question: What, and how much, of the external are you willing to ingest? For whatever is taken in must also be handled in the digest.
How far out there are you willing to go when, right here under your feet, there are blissful rituals to make, roads of reason to take, beautiful arrangements of flowers and friends to be tended? Taurus resists armor for the sake of ardor — for expressions of love, beauty, and pleasure.
The field is gentler now — not the absence of pressure, but a softening in how we meet it. A hand at the shoulder: the weight not gone, but carried differently. Not an end to what is unfolding, but a pause in its escalation.
Breath
We Call Her Earth.
Yet hidden in the word are subtle directives:
Release the ‘th’ and there is Ear,
A summons to listen,
Set the ‘h’ at the front and there is Heart –
The summons to coherence.
As much as we are born of energy and light, we are also born of the elements:
Of Earth, which forms the body — bone, fascia, the quiet architecture that holds us;
Of Water, which becomes the blood — our inner streams moving without pause;
Of Fire, which lives in the nervous system — the electric current that animates and responds;
Of Air, which enters as breath and rises as thought, like clouds forming and dissolving across the mind.
We Are Not Placed Upon The Earth.
We Are Formed From Her.
From the soles of the feet to the sounding of the voice, the body becomes a bridge between what is felt and what is finally spoken. The throat is not merely anatomy; it is value made audible.
There are teachings that have called this Earth the body of Christ — not as one form, but as the living body of all that takes form. Not above the Earth, but as it.
Whether we name it Earth, or something more sacred, the body is not separate from what created it. Yet somewhere along the way, we lose the thread of that intimacy. The disconnect is not only environmental; it is perceptual.
Still, each of us, in our own time, is learning to read an owner’s manual of being human. There is profound intelligence in the workmanship of the body — whether functioning exactly as born or supported by the marvels of modern ingenuity. To see the body as a machine is not to reduce it, but to admire its resilience and the intelligence of its design. It only asks that we eventually step into the role of conscious operator.
Remarkably, the body endures for a long while even in the absence of that connection. It absorbs our inattention, compensates for our excesses, and continues its silent labor beneath the noise of our lives. Yet when awareness does arrive — when habits of care begin to change, when nourishment is refined, when stillness is allowed to tap regularly at the inner door — the body often responds with surprising swiftness. Restoration is one of its native languages.
And we awaken to this in different ways. For some, it comes through the simple golden truth of a farm-fresh egg; for others, through gratitude for a life-saving medical advancement. Each is a valid waypoint on the path toward somatic literacy. We come to our truths — or our distortions — as befitting our own journey in life and spirit. The manual, in the end, is not a rigid doctrine to brandish at others, but an invitation to listen: to the gears of our own hearts, to the messages of our tissues, to the subtle instructions embedded in design.
And As With The Body, So With The Earth.
We have often moved through this world with a passenger’s unawareness — drawing from finite gifts without understanding the workmanship that produced them, consuming ancient inheritances without regard for their remains or their legacy. Yet this, too, is part of a collective apprenticeship. The aim is not to stand in judgment of what has been extracted, but to grow toward a deeper literacy of reciprocity.
For the Earth, like the body, keeps its records. And nowhere are those records carried more faithfully than in the waters.
WATER
The Waters Do Not Lie.
They carry what is hidden, what accumulates — the residue of what cannot be bypassed, within us and around us.
And when the waters are burdened, perception shifts. When the blood is burdened, we begin to misread in the mind.
From That Misreading, Action Follows.
And so consequences unfold — not as punishment, but as pattern; not as collapse, but as correction.
There Is A Movement Underway.
Not always visible. Not always comfortable. But steady. The serpent sheds not as an ending, but because it must.
What has been outgrown cannot be carried forward. What has been accumulated must surface, must loosen, must find release.
This too is part of remembering the elemental body. For the body does not merely support consciousness — it informs it. It signals when circulation has stalled. It reveals when the inner waters have thickened with grief, toxicity, fear, or overburden.
And what is true in one body is not unlike what is true in the greater body. We are not as separate as we have imagined. The waters hold the record, within us and around us, and they do not distort without consequence.
