The Energies Surrounding This Full Moon Are Densely Layered, And We Welcome Her Ripeness.
Capricorn Energies Are Worthy Companions At Such A Time.
Think in terms of shape and geometry. Think in terms of the shape we are in as individuals and as a civilization. We are invited to contemplate structure itself: the structures we inhabit, the structures we inherit, and the structures we are quietly building through our choices, thoughts, and actions.
Perhaps the most familiar structure is the hierarchy of humanity — the top-down authority that has long organized much of collective life. Yet many of these forms seem to be undergoing a season of reassessment. Some are being reduced to size. Others are being revealed as inadequate to the times now unfolding before us.
Capricorn reminds us that when a structure begins to dissolve, there is often a hidden interval between what is departing and what is emerging. That interval is not emptiness. It is fertile ground. It is the buffer through which a new architecture begins to take form. Though we may not yet recognize its outlines, something is already making its way toward the fore.
Such transitions can be disconcerting. Distraction remains a habit of the age, and so it is easy to become consumed by the actions of authorities, institutions, and power structures. We may find ourselves worrying endlessly about what the overseers are doing or failing to do. Yet obsession can become its own blanket of doom, obscuring the very emergence we are meant to witness.
We are still aboard the biplane, moving through unprecedented and cascading changes. Somehow, despite our doubts and resistances, we appear to have been ready for this passage. Wake-up calls arrived and continue. Here we are. And, we are less and less surprised when the answers to “What Next?” come.
There is also another current moving through these times: the energy of the shimmer. It takes time for the eyes to adjust. It takes time to trust what is appearing before us. We squint toward the horizon and wonder if what we see is real.
Could Peace Truly Be Possible?
Could Cooperation Emerge Where Conflict Has Long Prevailed?
Could Humanity Become More Than The Sum Of Its Fears?
Such questions arise because something in us senses a horizon we have not seen before. And so we find ourselves wondering once again who we are.
Perhaps we are not unlike the sailors of earlier centuries, standing upon the decks of uncertain vessels, staring into shimmering distances. The light dances upon unfamiliar waters. The horizon dazzles. What appears there seems impossible, improbable, perhaps even imagined.
And Yet The New World Comes.
Not All At Once.
Not Without Uncertainty.
Not Without Courage.
But It Comes Nonetheless.
Like moonlight upon the sea, it comes veiled in uncertainty. We mistake it for a trick of light, a mirage upon the horizon, a fleeting shimmer that cannot possibly become substance. Yet if we remain present — if we resist the urge to turn away — the light begins to gather itself.
Reflection becomes contour. Contour becomes shoreline. At a certain point, we can no longer say where the moonlight ends and the new land begins. It is as though the light itself is becoming the new world.
